Meet the Board

Please take a moment to learn about the Board of Directors! We’re happy to share who we are and our area of responsibility to the HOA.

JOHN GIANNICCHI – PRESIDENT AND ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE MEMBER

John and his wife Edlyn moved to Pauma Valley in 2021 after moving from New York to San Diego in 2020. John, an avid golfer, discovered Pauma Valley online as he researched private golf clubs in San Diego while still living in NY. From the moment John and Edlyn entered the gates at PVCC they could not believe how beautiful the community and views were. John has a BS in Marketing from St. John’s University in NY and has held various sales and sales management roles in his career. Predominantly in medical imaging. John is the Western Zone Director for Fujifilm Healthcare (formerly Hitachi Healthcare Americas) for MRI and CT sales. His team covers the Western half of the USA. While his work schedule keeps him on the road travelling the Western states, there is nothing better than coming back home to the peace in the valley (and the golf). John looks forward to serving on the board and supporting his community.

ROLAND SKUMAWITZ – TREASURER/DIRECTOR ARCHITECTURAL CO-CHAIR

Roland holds a master’s degree in public administration from USC and a Bachelor of Science degree in social studies from Cal Poly Pomona. He has 35 years experience in education, with 19 years service as a superintendent of the Romoland School District. While superintendent Mr. Skumawitz worked closely with Eastern Municipal Water District on projects involving the school district. Besides having served the public through education, Mr. Skumawitz contributes to the local community by participating on the Murrieta Temecula Group, Rancho California Water District board, Volunteer-Great Oak High School.

MICHAEL MARTELLO – SECRETARY

Michael and Pam Martello found Pauma in 2017 and purchased their home in February of 2019.  Michael spent most of his career as an in-house City Attorney, in Thousand Oaks, Concord and Mountain View, and after retirement as interim City Attorney in Los Gatos and Sunnyvale. He has also served as general counsel for a number of special districts. In addition to other areas of the law, Michael has experience in drafting and approving CC&R’s and in code enforcement.  Michael believes that all owners in HOA #1 should share a mutual interest in preserving and enhancing our community and this special place we call Pauma Valley.
